Playstation 4 steals nearly 50% of Thief sales.

Thief has stooped out of the shadows to grab the top slot in the UK charts. What's more the Playstation 4 version has taken nearly 50% of all sales.

About 46% sold through on Sonys new console with PS3, 360, PC and XBOne scrapping it out for the remaining 54%.

Thief had mixed reviews but having played for a few hours I'm finding it very good. I'd not played any Thief games before this one mind. Digital sales are not included.

Stats from the US show poor numbers for exclusives on xbox one with the biggest shock going to Titanfall with only 50,347. Sony Exclusive Killzone Shadow Fall beats Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and TitanFall with change left over. I can only see Titanfall being a timed exclusive if numbers stay like this. This is the Xbox Ones home territory. PS4 out performs every game bar Call of Duty, once again the xbox will be home to COD but PS4 numbers are not far behind. The number of Battlefield 4 pre-orders on PS4 trounces the Xbox One numbers. On the console front PS4 is still out in front with 725,000 and Xbox at 525,000. Disney Shuts Down LucasArts

Just a few months after acquiring them Disney has announced that LucasArts will be shutting down, ending internal game development. Disney have said that : "After evaluating our position in the games market, we've decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimising the company's risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games" This means that Star Wars 1313 and First Assault are effectively cancelled unless another developer picks up the IP and makes the game. The Wall Street Journal reports that less than 10 staff members have been retained.
