PS4 remote play for Xperia Z3 this month!

Image
Already available on PS Vita, Sony have confirmed that Remote play will be ready for your new Z3 smartphone on October 23rd. This is fantastic news and if I'm honest I'm shocked that they have this ready early. This shows how seriously Sony are taking remote play for PS4 and this has to be another huge plus for gamers when choosing what console to go for this holiday period. It's worth pointing out that unlike Vita, you can connect your Z3 to your DS4 PS4 controller. No word on a Vita update yet. Keep up the pressure Sony.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z nabs TechRadar's Best Tablet title-Pushes iPad mini into second place.

Image
Sony's resurgence has begun in earnest: it's now been officially dubbed the ' BestTablet on the Planet'. Since buying out Ericsson, Sony has working to make phones that can compete with the likes of Apple, Samsung and HTC – but the fruits of that labour have drizzled down to the tablet sector too. While looking like an enlarged Sony Xperia Z, the Tablet Z takes the best of big-screen Android and puts it in a superbly light package – and a light tablet means holding it for long periods to read or watch movies is no longer a chore. We were impressed that Sony had managed to put together something that combined innovation and functionality, as it's not only light but waterproof too. Will you be dunking it in water every day? Unlikely, but it gives it a hardy appearance and means bathtime or holiday use is no longer in question. The contenders: 10 best tablets in the world The review found that the tablet is: "a triumph, a tablet that ...

PSO talks PS4, PS Vita, Playstation and the future. Excited?

Image
Say what you like about Sony, they have had such a shitty time with launches on both the PS2 and PS3 but they have sat down with developers and asked them what they want this time round with PS4. First party developers have actively helped in designing the Dualshock 4. Developers have had years of hell with PS2/3 development and only first party devs have really got to grips with the hardware bar a few. This time it's different, devs are falling over themselves to heap praise on Sony's yet to be shown box of tricks. Only forum fanboys say otherwise and who cares what they say right? They don't make the games. Exciting times are coming our way this fall as PS4 rolls out. On the other side of the coin the PS Vita, the slow burner is due to explode with very exciting things on the horizon with PS4 interaction and remote play for every game just the start, and not via laggy firmware cracks as we've seen before, but using clever wireless technologies to have g...

Playstation Mobile - Mini Games Reviews

Image
Playstation mobile has been out for a few months now and I've been sampling a few of the bite sized games. I have reviewed them all below in a quick format just so you can get the idea. They are quick fix games but some of them really are excellent. Fuel Tiracas This game has you pressing the Vita screen to stop the pressure building up in pressure gages. The game gets harder and harder as you have to use speed to link up the colour in quick succession making it quite a challenge. At just 40p yes 40p this game gets an extra mark for value. 7/10 Rebel This game is brilliant, hard but brilliant. The idea is so simple. You are a prisoner of war on the run. As you spawn the game starts to hunt you down. Tanks, jets, helicopter and the like shoot you and drop napalm and all you have to do is run like hell. The great thing is, and the main aim of the game is to create 'friendly fire' so the enemy units destroy each other. So simple but just so rewarding. ...
