Sony have shown off the new Playstation 4 companion app for iPhone and Android that will be launching alongside the PS4. "The new app allows you to take the PlayStation experience with you when you’re away from your console. You can stay in touch with, friends, compare trophies, view friends’ activity (including recorded or live-streamed gameplay on PS4) and access all the latest PlayStation Blog news. " You can also check invites and start downloads from the PSN store from the app. The app also acts as a second screen for compatible titles
