Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced various free content updates and features coming this year to Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™, providing players with new ways to continue the battle for Mordor and capture every epic moment. Upcoming free downloadable content (DLC) updates and features include:
Endless Siege – Defend your fortresses against Sauron’s forces as the Dark Lord tries to reclaim Mordor in the Endless Siege. (Available 21st Nov)
Rebellion – Crush the rebel Ologs and Uruks in your forces as they seek to undermine the Bright Lord. (Available 21st Nov)
Enhanced Photo Mode – Capture every battle and siege and apply new filters, frames and textures with the Enhanced Photo Mode update. (Available 21st Nov)
Online Fight Pits – Challenge another player’s Orc follower, Overlord vs. Overlord, to a fight to the death in the arena to earn powerful rewards and upgrades. (Available 5thDec)
Brutal Difficulty – A new higher difficulty level even more challenging than Nemesis with no last chances. (Available 12th Dec)
Vita firmware 3.10 adds a couple of new features to the powerful handheld including Increasing the number of apps you can have on your home screen to 500 Voice Messaging, Enhanced Parental Controls A calendar A new system for controlling memory card usage Firmware 3.12 will be coming soon and simply improves system stability according to Sony. For years gamers like myself have had to forgo the open world Lego games. A simple omission in the control set-up alienated what must be 50% of gamers in the newer open world parts of Lego games. Inverted Y-axis is common in most game but TT Games has never put it in the console games, strange as the Vita version of Lego LOTR had Inverted options. Good news, TT Games have listened to the masses. A patch for the PS4 version was prompted on start up of the game. It's unclear if the option was added later. I must point out that the option to invert does not show until you start the story. I can't comment on any other version of the game so please post up in the comments if you own the PS3 or Vita version. It's worth pointing out that Lego The Hobbit looks stunning on PS4 and runs in full HD (1080p).
I remember sitting in a black box in an arcade with a scope in front of my face while roaming about on a map in a tank made up of neon sticks blowing up other neon stick tanks. This game was Battlezone, the arcade was at Llandudno pier, I was 11 or so. Yes that's (cough) 35 years ago.....maybe? This was my first go at a VR type game. 2016. October 13th. PlayStation VR is here. I pre-ordered in March when it first went to press. Over the few months that passed I avoided going to any of the pre-shows of PSVR, why? I'm one of these that want that, "first time" in the quiet of my own surroundings. One thing I wish I'd not done and that was watch to many VR demos on YouTube. You see VR is totally different in reality. Many users have had issues with the image like myself, in fact it took me playing with the HTC Vive before I realised that the image is all part and parcel of the VR headset.
