Activision has released the first post-launch patch for Call of Duty: WWII. It fixes many of the issues in the game as well as nerfing four guns.

Patch Notes:

Multiplayer General:

  • Connectivity improvements and optimisations
  • Fixed de-ranking issues
  • Addressed an issue where players encountered an infinite load screen
  • Leaderboard stability improvements and bug fixes
  • General UI improvements
  • Loading optimisations
  • Splitscreen functionality improvements
  • Added new unlock inventory stars to indicate when new items are added
  • Adjusted hit marker audio to be higher default level (note: can be adjusted in settings)
  • Fixed out of world exploits on Gustav Cannon and Sainte Marie du Mont
  • Espionage Basic Training – Reduced painted time from 10 to 6 seconds. Made it so only bullet damage paints you.
  • Weapon tuning to allow for one shot kills outside of hardcore mode, enabling challenge completion.
  • Fixed infinite flamethrower bug
  • XP Earn rate tuned in Operation Neptune
  • Fix issue of shotgun variants not appearing
  • Emblem Editor and visualisation improvements
  • GameBattles Improvements
  • Fixed Gridiron Ball exploits
  • Fixed a bug with all Sniper Rifles zooming to exact center when aiming down the sights

Multiplayer buffs:

  • Walther Toggle Action Shotgun – damage increased at extremely close range
  • Bren LMG – increased damage per shot
  • LMG Bipod – sped up ADS time when in Bipod stance
  • Multiplayer nerfs
  • BAR Rifle – decreased fire rate and widened hip fire spread
  • STG44 Rifle – widened hip fire spread
  • FG42 Rifle – increased recoil and widened hip fire spread
  • Machine Pistol – decreased damage ranges

Zombies:

  • Zombie Map Exploit Fix – clipping into a zombie spawn closet using revive mechanic in Laboratory
  • Fixed Klaus pathing
  • Fixed out of world exploit – The Final Reich

Fro My Lord....... Lego The Hobbit PS4 has Inverted Camera!

For years gamers like myself have had to forgo the open world Lego games. A simple omission in the control set-up alienated what must be 50% of gamers in the newer open world parts of Lego games. Inverted Y-axis is common in most game but TT Games has never put it in the console games, strange as the Vita version of Lego LOTR had Inverted options. Good news, TT Games have listened to the masses. A patch for the PS4 version was prompted on start up of the game. It's unclear if the option was added later. I must point out that the option to invert does not show until you start the story. I can't comment on any other version of the game so please post up in the comments if you own the PS3 or Vita version. It's worth pointing out that Lego The Hobbit looks stunning on PS4 and runs in full HD (1080p).

Dolby Vision HDR update for Sony 4K TV's

Sony are going to roll out an over-the-air update for the following lucky TV owners. The A1, XE93, XE94 and ZD9 are the first in line to get the exciting new update. Dolby Vision is an enhanced version of High Dynamic Range (HDR). It offers brighter playback, a 12-bit colour depth – instead of 10-bit – and support for the transmission of metadata. Dolby Vision ensures the brightness and colours look the same on a supported 4K TV in your living room as they do on a state-of-the-art high-resolution projector screen in your local cinema. More details are due from Sony next month.
