The Hobits go Next Gen! Warner has announced a next-gen Lord of the Rings game. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a third-person action game in development for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Wii U wasn't mentioned. The game is set between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. You play Talion, a ranger who is murdered the night Sauron and his army return to Mordor. He's resurrected by a Spirit and given Wraith abilities and goes on a revenge mission. Along the way he learns the origins of the Rings of Power, apparently. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is made by Monolith Productions, developer of the recent Gotham City Imposters and Guardians of Middle-earth multiplayer online battle arena game, in collaboration with Middle-earth Enterprises, Peter Jackson and the artists at Weta Workshop "to ensure that the settings, characters and story align authentically within canon". After saying yesterday that it may not come, Blizzard has confirmed it will provide remote play support for the PlayStation 4 version of Diablo 3 allowing the game to be played on the PS4 through the PS Vita. Blizzard confirmed it on Twitter: "Will Remote Play on the PS Vita be available for #D3 Ultimate Edition on #PS4 ?" MGS 5: Ground Zeroes the prequel to MGS 5: The Phantom Pain is launching on PS3 and PS4 in Spring 2014. The PS4 version will cost £29.99 and the PS3 version £19.99. MGS 5 is set to bring a new open world aspect to the series and Kojima has said Ground Zeroes is designed to ease players into this: "There will be a significant difference in what Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain brings to the series, so we want to ease players into the new open world environment and its potential. "As such, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes has been designed to introduce key elements, allowing them to fully benefit from all that the new game will offer."
